8.6 Lbs! HUGE Sparkling Septarian aka Dragon Stone Egg from Madagascar

This Freeform measures 7.5 x 5.25 x 5″ and weighs 8 Lb 9.5 oz. Made from Septarian Stone, mined and polished in Madagascar.

This large egg features a large open cavity lined with sparkling black calcite. Scattered throughout are some white and clear calcite points, twinkling against the backdrop of their darker counterparts. The back is polished beautifully, showing off the mottled gray, yellow and black patterns unique to this material. This magnificent piece stands nearly 8″ tall and will be a conversation starter in any collection. Septarian stone, also known as Septerye and Dragon Stone, is a concretion created from multiple minerals. The sandy colored sections are Limestone, the host stone. Over time cracks in the stone are filled with calcium, which crystalizes into Aragonite and Calcite in distinct brown and yellow bands.

Septarian crystal is said to resonate with the root chakra. An especially grounding stone, this crystal is said to enhance the carrier’s life force, assist in healing physical and spiritual ailments, and increase self-confidence.
