This beautiful freeform is a spectacular example of a very unique variety of garden quartz known as “1000 Layer Lodolite”. As seen in this piece, distinct layers of chlorite have formed together closely, like the pages of a book. The quartz is water-clear, which allows you to see through the layers when held at the right angle. This piece showcases the beauty of this amazing mineral. The base features a larger window where you can see into one of the lower layers. Nestled inside this window is a minute, single needle of gold rutile. Beautiful piece!
