This star shape features 8 points and is known as the Merkabah or “Merkaba”. This shape is a complex symbol in the Jewish spiritual tradition. Derived from the Hebrew word for “chariot” and is composed of three Hebrew letters: “Mer” for light, “Ka” meaning spirit, and “Ba” for body. It is said to represent the “light spirit body”, which is the vehicle of our souls, or chariot. It therefore represents ascension.

Smoky quartz resonates with the root chakra and is a protective and grounding stone. Quartz is also known as the master healer, and the smoky variation is particularly sought after among healers and collectors alike.
