This piece features sprays of red-tinted Barite blades, in a near-rosette pattern. Colored red from the presence of hematite, this piece has formed on a bed of Galena. This mineral is quite dense – for such a small piece, this specimen feels quite heavy.

Barite generally resonates with the crown and third eye chakras. However, this piece also resonates with the root chakra and is quite grounding, due to the Galena inclusions. Barite is believed to have a calming effect and promote the growth of intuition and psychic skills.
