Gemstone Crystal Soap – Lavender & Amethyst- Crystals in Soap

*Please note this is an herbal soap. I have not used added scents, so it is a very light fragrance produced only from the included herbs. If you would like a stronger smell, please contact me and I can include this in future offerings.

Every bar of this luxuriously foamy soap contains one 7-9 Ct faceted Brazilian amethyst. All ingredients are organic; coconut, grapeseed, and olive oils are saponified in a cold process method, and infused with ground dried lavender from France. This is a very gentle moisturizing soap that does well for all skin types, including those with dry or sensitive skin.

This recipe was developed by my Mother, who was a self-taught soap expert, always experimenting with new shapes, herbs, coloring and scents. Since learning her process, I have refused to use store-bought soap. I have very dry skin, especially in the winter months, and this is the only soap I’ve tried that doesn’t cause dryness. It is very gentle, and moisturizing, and creates a thick luxurious lather. Soap making is a rewarding craft I truly enjoy, especially since combining it with crystals, another one of my passions! I chose to pair amethyst with lavender herb, not only because they both are purple, but because Lavender is known to be soothing and calming, as is the stone – they would do well together.
