Chrysoprase is a lovely apple-green stone, and a fairly uncommon variety of chalcedony which gets its color from the presence of nickel. It is popularly used in jewelry and for tumbling or carving, due to its strength and beautiful color. This is a large rough cabinet-size specimen of this beautiful material. The green coloring is clearly seen in veins along the surface and solidly exposed along the sides. The outer surfaces also feature intricate fern-like dendritic patterns. Beautiful piece, this is the largest specimen of Chrysoprase available in the shop!
