This piece has formed in a flat plate with sparkling drusy on both sides, opening up to a delicate crystalline pocket on one end. Blue Lace agate is a variety of Chalcedony. It features a distinct soft blue color, delicate banding, and sparkling crystal pockets. Every surface sparkles in the light, due to the micro-crystalline nature of this material. These beautiful crystals are true African gems! This Namibian material tends to form in thinner plates, rather than the hollow geodes seen out of Malawi. While blue lace agate itself is not especially rare, this Namibian material is.
