Smoky quartz resonates with the root chakra and is a protective and grounding stone. Quartz is also known as the master healer, and the smoky variation is particularly sought after among healers and collectors alike.

This star shape features 12 points and is known as a Double Merkaba, or Stellated Dodecahedron. In sacred geometry, it is a form of divine light and perfection. “Merkaba” (also spelled Merkabah), is derived from the Hebrew word for “chariot” and is composed of three Hebrew letters: Mer, Ka, and Ba. It is said to represent the chariot of God in Ezekiel’s vision. The traditional 8-pointed Merkabah is made from two intersecting tetrahedra and represents the ascension of humanity. The 12-pointed Double Merkabah incorporates a third tetrahedron, and along with it a third element – Godliness. In spiritual and Christian traditions, humanity (the spirit light body) has the potential to ascend, assisted by the Divine.
