This piece weighs 3.6 oz and measures 2.25″ at its largest dimension. From Mozambique.
This lovely Elestial Quartz crystal features beautiful outlines of smoky quartz, and an overall tabular (flat and wide) growth habit. Also known as “skeletal” or “window” Quartz. While I have typically sourced this material from Brazil, this piece is from Mozambique. This formation is quite difficult to find within Africa – locally, it is considered a rarity!
Elestial Quartz is the name given to quartz with natural terminations all over the faces and body. These crystals feature unusual and irregular growth habits, including tightly grouped and/or overlapping clusters, extrusions, inclusions and curious etchings. Most are smoky, although there are a few (rare) clear and citrine varieties found. Elestials are highly collectible and can be used extensively in crystal healing. They often display a combination of various characteristics, including tightly grouped and/or overlapping clusters, extrusions, inclusions and curious etchings. Elestial quartz is also known as jacare, skeletal, or fenster quartz.
