Tigers Tail Chrysocolla is a vivid blue stone composed of chrysocolla and some shattuckite. The name arises from the signature banding and veining, caused by inclusions of silicate minerals throughout the material. Chrysocolla is popular for use in jewelry and prized for it’s vivid blue coloring. *Please note* – this material contains asbestos, which in crystal form here is harmless. Those using this material for lapidary work should exercise caution as the dust is dangerous if inhaled.
