Marcel Vogel developed the powerful Vogel shape in the 1980s: it is tapered and double-terminated, with facets all around the edge to the tips. The shape was designed and intended to gather and amplify energy with the female (large) end receiving energy, and the male end (smaller) amplifying and transmitting energy. They were first used as a tool in various crystal healing modalities. Our Vogels are created from Clear Quartz mined in Brazil and faceted by talented Brazilian craftsmen – but they are not cut by Vogel trained cutters and often have slightly different angles of the points. While the copy of a Vogel may not be held to the same exacting standards of an original, they can still be used as healing tools and rival the original design in beauty.
