This beautiful cluster features a lovely purple coloring, and a lovely coating of glittering crystal points. Also featured are light hematite deposits at the base. Spirit Quartz (aka Cactus Quartz) is a very distinct variety of amethyst. This crystal showcases two distinct growth layers – the initial, central point, covered in a glittery coating of micro-terminations sprouting along all sides, leaving the original point visible at the top. Spirit Quartz catches the light beautifully – in my opinion it is the epitome of drusy. Few crystals glitter naturally like spirit quartz.
