This point measures 3.25 x 1.1 x 1.2″ and weighs 3.8 Oz. Made from Mizone Opal mined and polished in Indonesia.
This material is a newer discovery from Indonesia. It features deep blue-to-black coloring, with rivers of bronze and brown. When held to the light it will often display varying levels of transparency. It’s formation and patterning is very similar to Pietersite. This material has often been labeled as “Mizone Opal” or “Blue Mizone Opal”. At the time of this listing, there is no study confirming the mineral content of this stone, but it has a strong resemblance to Pietersite as mentioned before, which is a member of the chalcedony/agate family. It could also be compared to a Tiger’s Iron mixed with Agate.
