1.25″ Actinolite Rutile in Quartz Slice 0.6 Oz

This beautiful clear quartz chunk features thick actinolite rutile blades. It has two unpolished cut sides with a matte finish.  Actinolite is harder to find and is not often seen in rutile-type formations. It is a member of the amphibole group, a family of minerals that are often seen in garden quartz pieces. Fun fact: Actinolite is the same mineral that gives Jade its green color. This piece could be used for tumbling, but please note that rutile is more difficult to polish in a tumbler. It will often require additional rounds in steps 2-4. From Brazil.
